Sandy Kristiansson

Sandy Kristiansson has over 30 years of experience in all aspects of marketing communications having served in upper management capacities for clients, advertising agencies and as an independent consultant. He started his marketing career in New York City on the agency side managing multi-million-dollar budgets for a variety of Blue-Chip clients including: Liberty Mutual Insurance, ITT Corporation, Sheraton International Hotels, Four Points Inns, Hertz Corporation, Continental Airlines and IBM.

In 1993, Sandy moved to Rhode Island to work at Citizens Bank as Director of Marketing & Advertising where he assisted in the bank’s growth from a Rhode Island only based financial institution to a national brand.

Sandy left Citizens in 2002 to start Newport, RI based Black Diamond Marketing Group providing clients comprehensive marketing communications. Black Diamond’s clients have covered all industry categories from local Newport based entities to national organizations.

Throughout his career, Sandy has won numerous awards for his achievements from: the New York & Boston Ad Clubs, Boston Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Award, Greater Newport County Chamber of Commerce Excellence In Business Award, Bell Ringer & Clio. as well numerous awards from the industry leading International Communicator Awards.

Sandy’s community service and board leadership positions have included the New York & Boston Ad Clubs, The Point Association, Fort Adams Trust, Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce and university level guest lectures.
